PHOTOS: seeking refuge in Gaza

Posted on November 21, 2012

After Israeli F16s dropped warning leaflets across the Gaza Strip yesterday afternoon, telling people to leave their homes, panic broke out. Many thousands of people hastily packed some blanckets and food together and moved out of their neighborhoods in the border areas, northern Gaza Strip, and the east and south of Gaza City.

The al Attar family is one of the 300 families (1,800) people who rushed to the UNRWA boys elementary school in Nasser street, Gaza City, yesterday. It is the same place of refuge as the one they came to during the Israeli military assault on Gaza in December 2008 – January 2009.
